Active membership An active member is a person working in the field of extracorporeal circulation in a hospital in the Netherlands and who is registered as a certified clinical perfusionist. An active member is entitled to make use of all the facilities, which are offered by the society. Active members can influence the policy/decision making within the society through their right to vote. The board of the NeSECC is chosen by its active members only.
Candidate active membership A candidate active member is a person working in the field of extracorporeal circulation and who fulfils the conditions to become a certified clinical perfusionist after a successful completion of their education. A candidate active member is entitled to make use of the facilities, which are created by the society. During membership meetings the candidate active member has the right to speak, but not to vote.
Senior membership A person who, in the past, has worked in the field of extracorporeal circulation in a hospital in the Netherlands and was registered as a certified clinical perfusionist. During membership meetings the senior member has the right to speak, but not to vote.
Associative membership A person who is working in a professional area, which is related to the field of extracorporeal circulation. For example cardiothoracic surgeons, cardio-anaesthesiologists or technicians.
Membership companies
Sympathizing membership This is a membership on the credit of one person who works in a company that is involved in the field of cardiothoracic surgery and extra corporeal circulation. A sympathizing member receives an invitation for the general meetings and for the educational activities of the NeSECC.
Special sympathizing membership This is a membership on the credit of a company that is involved in the field of cardiothoracic surgery and extra corporeal circulation. The company receives an invitation for the general meetings and for the educational activities of the NeSECC. Three employees of the company are entitled to visit these activities.
Affiliating membership: The Affiliating membership is for companies who are directly associated with the field of extracorporeal circulation. The financial contribution of the affiliating members are intended to be used by the NeSECC for educational activities. The company actively contributes to the continuing education of the Dutch perfusionists. The company receives an invitation for the general meetings and for the educational activities of the NeSECC. Three employees of the company are entitled to visit these activities. During the educational activities the company has the possibility to present their products at an information stand.Once per year, minimally, the Affiliating member is invited to attend a meeting with the board of the NeSECC to discuss developments within the society and generally in the field of cardiothoracic surgery.
